Voters on Tuesday supported the district’s proposed budget and each of its propositions, including a $6.085 million capital improvement project.

The Red Hook Faculty Association will give away nearly 1,000 children’s books and Lego boxes at Saturday’s Apple Blossom Day in honor of Martha Strever.

The annual district budget vote and school board election will be held May 20. In addition to the budget, residents will be asked to choose two candidates to fill vacant seats on the Board of Education and decide on four propositions.

The Latin Culture Fair exposed students to a wide variety of Latino traditions and history through authentic foods and art, themed rooms, and guest speakers sharing first-person experiences.

The event brought together trailblazing women from across the state who have had a profound impact on their communities and were selected by their local lawmakers. State Sen. Michelle Hinchey chose Strever for the honor.
