Hi and welcome to the library! I am thrilled to be the new LAMS Librarian this school year. Below is a little information so you can get to know me.
Where did you go to school?
I received my B.A. in Public Relations at SUNY Oswego in 2022. In August of 2025 I graduated with my Master of Science Library and Information Science/School Library Media from Long Island University.
Where did you work before LAMS?
Prior to LAMS I worked in public libraries! I started as a Clerk and Social Media Coordinator at my local library and moved up to Library Assistant, where I helped with programming. I then moved libraries and became the Youth Services Coordinator at LaGrange Association Library in LaGrangeville. There, I planned and hosted programs, developed the youth collection, and worked with the community. My favorite program I planned was on Take Your Child to the Library Day. I had authors visit and run storytimes and Q&As, crafts, a scavenger hunt, and a BINGO game. It was chaotic, but very fun.
What do you like to do outside of school?
I’m a certified hobby jumper. Currently, I am really into paint by numbers – I put a TV show or movie on and can zone out for hours. I also love to read and spend time with my friends and family.
I hope to see you around the library! Stop by to chat about books or just say hi.
