Hispanic Heritage:  The Pura Belpre Award- An award that celebrates Latino Culture!

Pura Belpre was the first Latina librarian to work at the New York Public Library!  This award is given annually to Latino/Latina authors and illustrators who create work that celebrates and affirms that Latino culture.   Below are a few of the books that have won this award.  Stop by the LAMS library for a complete list of these award winners!
