Tuesday is not only the day of the annual budget vote, it’s also the annual Mill Road Gallery Art Walk, Ice Cream Social and Plant Sale!

The Gallery Art Walk, from 5-7 p.m., features the work of students in grades pre-K through 5 displayed all around Mill Road Elementary School. In addition, there will be live music and an “Improv Theater” performed by students.

From 6-8 p.m., the Red Hook Faculty Association’s Ice Cream Social will be outside in the Mill Road PK-2 courtyard (or inside the PK-2 cafeteria in the event of rain). For $1 you can make your own sundae while hanging out with friends.

And, across from the Ice Cream Social, also at 6-8 p.m., the Mill Road Garden Fundraising Plant Sale is being held. The event, sponsored by Hearty Roots Farm, features vegetables, flowers, herbs and houseplants, all priced at $5 or less. There are also free vegetable seeds.

Remember, polls will be open for the annual budget and board election vote inside the Mill Road Elementary grades 3-5 cafeteria from noon-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 19.
